レナード・マーカスさんが来館されました。Mr. Leonard Marcus, Children’s Literature Historian from the U.S.A. visited Chihiro Art Museum Tokyo

アメリカの児童書歴史研究家の、レナード・マーカスさんが翻訳家の前沢明枝さんとともに、先日来館されました。ちひろ美術館への来館は何度目かで、現在開催中の「みんな　なかまよ」展を楽しまれ、館内の図書室では日本の絵本を色々ご覧になっていました。アメリカでいくつもの絵本関連の展覧会を手がけおり、エリック・カール美術館の理事でもあるので、展覧会のアイディアやデザインにもとても、興味をもたれていたようです。

Mr. Leonard Marcus, Children’s Literature Historian from the U.S.A. with the Japanese translator Akie Matsuzawa visited Chihiro Art Museum Tokyo last week. It is not his first visit here, and he enjoyed the current exhibit:”We Are All Friends”. He also browsed Japanese picture books at our museum library. He is also one of the board members of The Eric Carle Museum, and he himself has curated several exhibitions related to picture books, so he was interested in the different ideas and design in our museum.
