絵本でつなぐ「へいわ」のメッセージ：クラウディア・レニャッツィ（アルゼンチン）

困難な今の時代、世界に届けたい平和のメッセージは、想像力に富んだ芸術性の高い本や物語を子どもたちに手渡そう、ということです。人を愛し、異なる人たちへの攻撃や差別をしない子どもを育てるために。平和を愛する心を育んだ子どもは、大人になっても平和を望みます。私の絵本は、想像力があれば、夢のような旅ができることを伝えています。
私は子どもたちがデジタルの画面を見る時間を減らし、本を読んだり絵を描いたり、物語をつくったり、友だちとあそぶ時間を増やしてほしいと望んでいます。それが、よりよい将来を開く唯一の道だと思います。

My message for peace in this difficult time, with the wars that we are suffering in the world, is that we need to continue to educate children with more books and more stories that value imagination and artistic creation.

Only in this way can we prepare children with love for all human beings, who can grow up without the need for aggression and without the need for discrimination towards people who are different. Children with inner peace who can be adults in peace. My illustrations speak of the importance of the imagination to make fantastic journeys.
My wish is to have children with fewer hours on digital screens and more time spent reading, children painting, making up stories and sharing games with other children.
This is the only way I imagine a better future.

◆絵本でつなぐ「へいわ」のメッセージ
戦後80年 ちひろと世界の絵本画家たち 絵本でつなぐ「へいわ」 の開催にあわせて、本展に寄せられた出品作家からのメッセージ、そして、広島で被爆した子どもたちのことばを、会期中、少しずつご紹介していきます。
