After enjoying the view of Chihiro’s Garden from the second-floor glass passageway, proceed to the Library.

The Library contains some 2,000 picture books from Japan and abroad selected by the Chihiro Art Museum along with books about Chihiro and the time during which she lived, as well as books related to children’s happiness and peace. In the “Hitokoto, Futakoto, Mikoto” (One Word, Two Words, Three Words) corner, you can peruse the more than 300 notebooks in which previous visitors have recorded their thoughts and impressions over the 45 years since the Museum’s opening. The Library offers a space where children and adults can leisurely sit, relax, and enjoy spending time together.
