In order to appropriately protect and manager personal information, Chihiro Art
Museum(operated by the Chihiro Iwasaki Memorial Foundation ; hereinafter, “the Museum”)will handle personal information of the customers based on the private policy herein.

1. Acquisition of personal information

The Museum will acquire personal information by appropriate means. Specifically, request for personal information may be requested as needed, such as the customer’s name, address, phone number, age, e-mail address and feedback, etc. obtained when the customer replies to various questionnaires, applies for the support member’s club or annual passport, subscribes to mail magazines, applies for various events, or receives purchased museum merchandizes through the Museum or museum webpage, etc.

2. Use of personal information

The Museum shall use the personal information provided to promote appropriate and smooth relationships with our customers and to implement quality museum activities.
Specifically, such information shall only be used for the Museum and museum
website, etc. within the scope necessary to carry out activities of the Museum,
including surveys aimed at promoting the activities of the Museum, sending of
various notices such as mail magazines and DM with consent, shipment of purchased
museum merchandises, notices for various events and operations, recording and
organizing of feedback contents, preparation of various statistical data, and the
provision of other services, etc.

3. Provision of personal information to a third party

The Museum shall not provide personal information to a third party for reasons
other than those stipulated below.
When personal information is entrusted to a third party in order to achieve the purposes provided for in 2

4. Management of personal information

Regarding personal information provided, the Museum shall endeavor to maintain
the accuracy of the contents thereof. Appropriate management and storage shall
be implemented in the handling of personal information so as to prevent
unauthorized access, manipulation, or leakage.

5. Disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of personal information

Regarding the personal information of which the customer him/herself requests the disclosure, correction, suspension or deletion, upon confirmation of identity, the Museum shall promptly address the request.

6. Storage period and deletion of personal information

Personal information that is obtained shall be managed and stored appropriately during the period which is deemed necessary by the Museum, and shall be deleted in a safe manner after the expiry of the term.

7. Compliance with laws and ordinances and improvement in handling

In handling personal information, the Museum shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other applicable laws and ordinance of Japan, as well as endeavor to continuously review and improve the handling thereof.
