70 Years After His Death: Takeshi Motai and the Artists of Paris — Fragments of Paris

Takeshi Motai (1908–1956) set out on a journey around the world in the spring of 1930, at the age of twenty-one. His destination was Paris, the city of art. During the 1920s and 1930s, artists from around the world gathered in Paris, where they created their own original artwork.
This exhibition showcases works by artists who were active in Paris at that time, together with three sketchbooks Motai produced during his three-year stay in Europe, as well as works he created later in life based on his memories of his travels.
