Kayako Nishimaki Exhibition: Her First Picture Books: In the Land of Buttons and My Dress

Kayako Nishimaki (born in 1939) has won the hearts of countless young readers with the free-flowing lines and colors she uses to create her illustrations. In this exhibition we showcase her first picture book, In the Land of Buttons (Koguma-sha, 1967), made through lithography, alongside her best-selling third work, My Dress (Koguma-sha, 1969), to explore the enduring charm of her stories, which are still feel fresh after more than half a century.
