Online exhibition of Tacita: Pesta Cerita Anak (Indonesia)
Tacita: Pesta Cerita Anak, Indonesian Children’s Story Festival is celebrating their third year this year. In the first year in 2019, the festival was held in Institut Teknologi Bandung. As one of the programs, we held an exhibition of contemporary Japanese and Indonesian picture book artists with Litara Foundation. Two artists, Yasunari Murakami and Iku Dekune, who are also Chihiro Art Museum’s collection artists, were invited to hold workshops at the venue.
This year, the festival is held online due to the spread the COVID-19. We are pleased to join this event and introduce the works by 10 artists from 7 countries, including Chihiro Iwasaki, from our museum collection, titled “Around the world with picture books” as an online exhibition.

As part of the festival, we held an online tour and storytelling time on April 25th and plan to hold a watercolor workshop on June 26th.
Now, in times when we cannot easily travel we hope you can enjoy travelling around the world through picture books.
