Picture Book Artist Chihiro Iwasaki: Picture books from the 1950s to the 1970s

After World War II, Chihiro decided to live the life of an artist, becoming an illustrator of children’s books, including picture books and picture magazines. In this exhibit, we will showcase her work as a picture book artist active from the 1950s to the 1970s, a period during which children’s books flourished in Japan, along with the words of editors who observed Chihiro’s creative process.
