Chihiro Iwasaki, Street and Children after the Rain, 1970
The soft sunlight that filters through the trees, the dazzling rays of the sun, the glow of the full moon, candlelight … Chihiro Iwasaki, through the exceptional technique she possessed, was able to depict a variety of light that had no identifiable form but could be felt through the use of shades of watercolors, generous empty space, and silhouettes of areas left white. In this exhibition, we will present Chihiro’s expression of light with a focus on the techniques she used.
