Bimba Landmann
(Italy), b. 1968
Born in Milan, Italy, and graduated from the Brera Academy. In 1995, she received special mention in Premio Castello in Italy with her small creative picture book Abar e Babir. In 1997, she won first prize at the Nazionale Val Vibrata al Martinsicuro for her first full-fledged picture book, Viaggio nella note blu (Journey to the Blue Night). Un bambino di Nome Giotto (A Boy Named Giotto) has been translated into multiple languages and earned acclaim in many countries, including Japan, where it won the Japan Picture Book Award for Translated Books in 2000.
