Creating Peace Through Picture Books

The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II. Picture book artists who have experienced war expressed their earnest desire in their work that it never be repeated. This wish was passed down to the artists of the generation that followed, and then to later generations, sowing seeds of peace in the hearts of young readers. In this exhibition we will introduce picture books conveying this wish for peace, created by Chihiro and other picture book artists from around the world.
