Fiona Moodie

(South Africa), b. 1952

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, to a family of apple farmers. After graduating from college, she moved to Europe and worked as an English teacher. In 1979, Moodie’s first picture book, Benjamin the Rocking Horse, was published. Her books that have been translated into Japanese include A Prince of Sugar, The Unicorn and the Sea, and The Boy and the Giants.
