Yuki no Hi no Tanjobi (The Birthday Wish)

A little girl, Chi-chan, who is invited to her friend's birthday party only one day before her own, accidentally blows out the candles on her friend's birthday cake. She becomes upset, and doesn't want anything on her birthday but secretly wishes to see snow. Chihiro depicted the girl's feelings using colors, touches, and various cinematic effects such as close-ups and long shots.
