Picture Book Library

The library’s collection includes 3,000 titles of picture books from Japan and overseas selected by the Chihiro Art Museum, as well as books about Chihiro, books describing the time in which Chihiro lived, and books about children’s happiness and peace. There are also chairs specially designed by furniture artists. Adults and children alike can find their favorite spots and enjoy reading leisurely. In the “One Word, Two Words, Three Words” corner, there are notebooks in which visitors can freely write their opinions of the Museum. The total number of notebooks in 40 years since the museum was established is now over 300. Every three to four notebooks are bound together in hard cover and are always available to the public.
