    Chihiro’s Lines

Beautiful lines are one of the charms of Chihiro’s works. As an aspiring artist from her late 20s, Chihiro dedicated herself to sketching. After giving birth to a son, she made numerous sketches of him as he grew day by day. Through her continuous pursuit of lines she could be content with, her lines became flowing and elegant. In the later years, Chihiro said that she could paint people in any pose, even without a model. Chihiro’s beautiful and simple lines that capture an instant of a child’s movement owe to the sketching skills she acquired from her tireless efforts.
